Turkeys on the Concordia College campus this week.

I was there for the Summer Institute in American Philosophy. I gave a short workshop on nature journaling and the philosophy of Henry Bugbee and Charles Sanders Peirce.

When I arrived on campus I was surprised to see a number of groups of turkeys wandering the grounds. So naturally, I took out My sketchbook and made a few quick sketches before heading to my session.

(The Concordia mascot is Kernel Cobb, and Concordia fans are called Cobbers, hence the tItle of this post.)

Several quick sketches of turkeys, including adults and chicks, are drawn on a sketchpad with handwritten notes about their characteristics.
